About Us

Inspired by my grandmother Dora, great grandmother Josefina and the teachings of curanderismo, our work is a gentle reminder that the earth provides us with everything we need to feel healthy and beautiful. 

I am a daughter, stepmother and spiritual coach, and have always been passionate about  teaching others how to love themselves in mind, body and soul.  I stem from a line of curanderas, and healthy skin and a well-nourished soul has always been my family’s saving grace. Curan translates to “heal.” My mother and I created Dora’s to instill more love and mindfulness in the beauty routine, encouraging women to heal themselves from the inside and out. We offer healthy and natural alternatives to other brands in the market, using certified organic products that don’t harm animals or the environment.

We chose our key ingredients based on their protective and healing powers, placing emphasis on Tepezcohuite, Rose Water, and Prickly Pear Seed Oil.

Dora’s Apothecary launched earlier this year, right from our very own garden. Each product is made in ceremony, with only love and the highest vibrations. With each purchase, you are helping us preserve the indigenous tradition of curanderismo..
